Schnetzer’s character, dressed in a sheriff’s uniform and holding a beer, appears especially troubled, suggesting the discussion is far from lighthearted.

The Madison centers on the McIntosh family, who originate from New York City but now live in Montana’s Madison River Valley. The series has been described as Sheridan’s most personal and intimate project so far, exploring themes of loss, grief, and the bonds that hold people together during difficult times.
Rather than leaning heavily on action, the show is positioned as an emotional character study that focuses on human relationships and quiet moments.
Episode Count and Season 2 News
Although the project was approved back in 2023, viewers have had to wait patiently for updates. The first season will consist of six episodes, which is a shorter run compared to many of Sheridan’s other series that typically feature 10 or more episodes.
